THE GREAT GATSBY

The iconic and classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald has been published, set to movie scripts, and designed plenty of times. In designing this cover, I wanted to set it apart from the previous designs as much as possible while still maintaining the 1920’s vibes and staying true to the book’s essence. For those who didn’t read it in middle school, or perhaps forgot in the twenty years since then, the story takes place on two peninsula’s near the Long Island Sound. The story is turbulent and choppy, following the characters across the messy sea of riches and unrequited love, lit by the green and unsettling light of Daisy’s dock.

I also created simple illustrations for the title page and each chapter.
